That was an insane amount of detail at a point when everyone else was going: "It's possible something may have happened somewhere."

So there you go. If you want to continue doing basically a front-end to a database on color mixing machines, or a sales system, to earn enough to live, then go ahead, continue doing C++/Java/Delphi. :)

Will do, thanks. The pay is ridiculously high considering how little is required of the brain. :)

Question. If you're as much a nerd as everyone else here, why haven't you a long time ago made some kind of filter for looking at pictures online?

I think if I were colorblind, and could tell red and green apart, but not blue or purple, I would surf the net for a few days with a filter that turned all blues red and all greens purple. Then I would suddenly know the difference between blue and purple, and I would know things like what color the Lakers are.

What's the point? I'm not sure there is one, I think I'd just be curious, like I'm curious and try to find out more about the parts of Earth I haven't seen.

Internet data (who used what IP-adress at what moment, who mailed who, but not what websites were visited, gmail, twitter etc.) will only need to be stored for 6 months.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but are you sure you understood that right? They're obviously against packet inspection if they're not going to save "what websites were visited, gmail, twitter etc.". Why would they inspect e-mail packets then? And why would saving who you e-mailed be any different than saving who you sent a message on MSN?

Really? I have no idea how many times I've heard scientists say that if everything suddenly is dark, it's because the sun burned out 8 minutes earlier, yet what I'm hearing you say is that if the sun burns out at 12:00 my time, I'd see it at 12:00 my time as well.

It's definitely not intuitive then, because the first thing makes a lot more sense to me. Oh, and is this only true for light or for sound as well? If I hear a gun shot from far away, is it then also true that gun wasn't fired until I heard the bang?

How is this insightful?

What you're saying today is:
"It definitely hasn't happened yet."
And tomorrow:
"It definitely hasn't happened yet."
And the day after, if we just happen to see it:
"It definitely happened 600 years ago."

It doesn't matter whether we have observed it or not, it might have happened already.
