Or a mere 144,000, if you're Jehovah's Witness.
Sweet! I can check another box on my apocalypse bingo!
The Bible does, however, have a hell of a lot to say about liberal policies like caring for the poor and needy, for loving your enemy, etc. If I recall correctly, there's even a thing about rich people and camels and eyes of needles in there too.
Actually, the Bible has a lot to say about INDIVIDUALS caring for the poor, loving your enemy, that sort of thing. Christ ALWAYS talks about INDIVIDUALS there, not mandated by government. Christ focuses on the heart of the person. He wants me to care for the poor and needy MYSELF, from the goodness of my heart. Not forced by way of government action.
Any ads from CNN, ABC, CBS, PBS, NPR, NBC, MSNBC, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Boston Globe and New York Times?
Not that hard. You can call 911 from a phone with no SIM card. If you do that and the call is disconnected, 911 can even call you back. All without a SIM card.
So obviously this sort of thing is doable on a technical level.
In doing this, the Twitter idiots fail to realize this action only furthers all the conspiracy theories and misinformation out there. When something is banned or censored, that only serves to make people more curious and think "Hmm, they banned such-and-such, there really must be something to it."
THANK YOU for your service.
And at the same time, the WHO was praising China and saying there was no evidence of human-to-human transmission as well.
I'm all for the convenience and whiz-bang factors associated with gadgets. But sometimes, for cases like this, the old-fashioned KISS principle holds true. When I leave my house, I simply turn the lock button and the deadbolt knob and I know the door is secure. I don't have to worry about a hacker or dead batteries or bad wifi or any of that to know my home is secure.
Super Mario all the way!
Our company allows people to work from home fairly easily, but I've been at the office as much as I can. Fairly small staff and thoroughly cleaning everything. I'm also No. 2 in the company so it is helpful to be on premises.
Home is a different, and very fluid, story. My wife is a nurse, as is her sister. Obviously a nurse cannot work from home. On the contrary. No infections (yet) in our city, Lincoln, Neb., but it is only a matter of time. We are helping each other out with child care. My wife only works weekends while her sister works weekdays. A particularly interesting challenge is actually my wife's schooling. She's been an LPN (licensed practical nurse) for nearly 20 years and is in her last semester of school to get her RN. But hospitals are shutting down access for students. Meaning it's not certain how she and the others in her class will be able to complete their clinical hours.
To me, that seems incredibly stupid. In the midst of a health care crisis or soon-to-be crisis, I would think the hospitals, etc., would want to get those students through the system and into the workforce as reasonably fast as possible.
In other words, they are deliberately breaking any/all DNS-based adblocking and content filtering. So much for OpenDNS protecting my kids from pr0n or malware or etc., and no more pfblockerNG or pihole adblock filtering.
The modems! Don't forget the modem sounds!
OK, so no one has any idea where they are coming from or who owns them. And any official entity denies any involvement.
In that case, go ahead and shoot one down. Perfect way to see who owns them by who complains. "Oh, that was your flying thing? Sorry, I was aiming for the clay pigeons with my buddies and it flew in the way right as I fired."
