Submission + - Symantec Sued For Patent Infringement

VE3OGG writes: "Symantec has fallen victim to the perils of the USPTO. Symantec, along with Communique Laboratory Inc. and LogMeIn Inc. are being sued for patent infringement by Accolade for a patent that it applied for in 1997 and was only granted in late 2006. The patent revolves around remotely accessing computer networks, and relates to Symantec's well known pcAnywhere product. The suit, which was filed January 30, looks to halt production of pcANywhere and seeks an unspecificed amount in damages. Let's just hope Accolade never finds out about SSH or Telnet."
