I think one of the problems is the false dichotomy created. People either want a balanced budget or its not good enough so just spend more. We need politicians that are willing to make long term solutions. If we cut the federal budget in half it would create more problems than it solves. We need some engineers in Congress. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kKuXgzXt5U

When I went to RPI for the medalist open house and one of the talks was a Q&A with a professor. He turned out to be an aero professor (which will be my major) and somebody asked about research opportunities. He gave a full answer but also mentioned that he is working with NASA on a landing system 2 or 3 generations out that would be capable of putting 60-80 tons on Mars. So they're working on it, and hopefully I am too if I end up going to RPI.

I made this point (fielding a candidate) to a facebook friend who is an OWS member but it quickly became clear that it will never happen because OWS isn't united, and they are proud of it. Many members are literally against the idea of having a leader, they (the FB friend and his friends) want an overthrow of the government and capitalism. It's very all or nothing to them.

You also need the entire framework the game runs on, save system, file system, physics engine, opening cutscene (usually 720p or 1080p), everything but the textures (which are probably reused level to level a lot) would need to be download to play the first level. Don't get me wrong that would speed it up a lot but the time from selecting you want to play that game to actually playing is probably longer than somebody is willing to wait.

It's better than just putting it into a calculator because it gives you a rough estimate of what the answer should be. Then if the two answers don't mesh you can assume one of them is wrong. Whenever I finish a physics problem (I'm taking AP right now) I ask myself if the answer makes sense, saves me from so many mistakes.
