The guy method DID confirm other earthquakes in the past , (2001, Turkey one, 2002 another italian one etc. read the full history in italian) his method based on radon detections does give a quite good approximation, given that he did it as a personal side project etc. I do say that one week is very good approx. You can put major critical activities on hold for couple of weeks, the game will surely worth the candle. Italy needs to be forced into legality by EU. For its own good.

this is madness.... damn...world is going towards a very deep abyss.... but everyone with these crazy morals and fucked up ethics will be the first to have their twisted head chopped in the next huge civil war... how can a pic of myself, no matter what age, taken by myself and 'used' by myself be of ANY concern to the law?? I do not understand how someone in the 21st century would still feel the urge to CENSOR anything, again. We have not learned from our past , not a thing, if we are still debating such basic issues. Freedom of speech and thought is something that should not be never ever menaced. But since the governments are still so much into the deep mud of religious influences and other anti-human believes, I propose that the Internet should be split in two trunks, one for the government usage, that allows completely official comunication and information between citizen and the state. And another, which is the 'normal' internet, which would be only for 18+ yrs old citizens and has no censoring whatsoever. Granted, it is a compromise , but it's maybe the less problematic one. Religions are the relics of a world in which absolute military power and violence was the daily routine. We should get rid of them. And this comes by a correct education. my2c mrn

All this worrying is SO silly. There are no black holes, it's just a theoretical construct to explain some observed phenomena, we have no proof that such objects even exists (in the form we hypothise). Now assuming that we can possibly create one in a small(by cosmo-scale) lab on Earth is more on the comical side than anything else. Stop this folly and move on to more experiments. cheers mrn

Submission + - Slashdot moderation does more damage than benefit

Mr_Nitro writes: "Hi all. Since the introduction of the so called moderation system, I think it does nothing but prevent some _real_ insightful comments from being seen unless you adopt a 'show all' policy. Often I found comments rated in milliseconds, is this realistic? or just some kid (rnd) clicking? For me it's just a waste of resources really. Would Slashdot editors consider a vote for it? What do you think? (that's obvious, all the pro-mod will mod down other opinions, a little bit twisted isn't it). best regards mrn"

This is becoming a truly scary society. This is the beginning of the end of 'freedom' as our fathers thought and fought for. Let me tell you an example of what will be next in few years. You won't be allowed to cook your food at home, you know why? because you are not able to cook properly, you are not a trained chef, you could hurt your health and make taxpayers pay for your future disease due to extra fat or whatever you like to cook. This can be very real. You will only have state delivered and packaged meals. And I tell you one thing, I am ready to fight to death against this transformation. mrn

To me this is a clear result of the topic picked itself, as all the 'e-commerce'.. and commerce in general , is just vapor... smelly ideas to support the wealth of few, so it's not uncommon that a totally fake (you could easily spot it from the abstract...- polygen anyone?) and meaningless text is a perfectly good 'biz talk' for these 'experts'. Hi all , just want to tell my experience in FRANCE... well internet is damn blocked/censored. usually not on ethical topics or such(but who knows), but more on the commercial side of things... try go any corporate website outside France... it's unable to connect/timeout all the time... but when you switch to .fr version it magically works... (ebay for example....totally unusable) it looks like some form of protectionism...but who knows the extent of the censoring.... Information internet should be detached and uncontrolled from the the 'services' internet, this way our governments wont lay their filthy hands on it. my2cnts mrn
