Yeah great job. Great job letting cruise ships almost fuck us. Great job spreading rumours about medical staff having illegal dinner parties. Great job sacrificing teachers and students by declaring social distancing isn't required in schools (which personally I think may likely lead to our downfall here). You're just wrong. They got lucky and brought in the lockdown at the right time. We have a more geographically distributed population than almost any country, and we're coming out of summer not winter. WE GOT LUCKY. But our luck won't last.

You mean like underage kids can physically walk into a school and share pornography on any regular pre-COVID nightmare day? The insanity is the way the law has failed to deal with online sharing sensibly. We're just reaping the rewards of that stupidity as schools rush to cover their backsides under insane laws passed by luddites and wowsers who'd prefer to put the kid that shared the porn in prison to "protect" them than to actually prevent harm..

Mask work like vaccination, have enough of the population wear one and you have a good chance of stopping the disease from spreading. If you only wear one after you started getting sick and coughing, it's already too late, you ran around for two weeks spreading the disease.

The issue with the response to the mask shortage is that they actively discouraged people from wearing masks, thus making the problem worse, instead of encouraging the wearing of DIY masks, which can still be very effective.

I pretty much fact check every thing and look directly at the sources, plus try to find other information now. Hardly the same as telling them they can't use the app to post goofy videos with their kids. Totally reasonable.

Your average news organisation can't even figured out the hyperlink. Even if an original source is available on the net, they hardly ever bother to actually link it. All they publish is their own stuff with their own little spin on it. Videos are edited, photos are cropped and selected, study results get often twisted into the opposite and the user is never informed of where all that information came from in the first place.

If you want to stop fake news, you have to stop mainstream news organisations first, since they are the ones that like to spin and twist everything around. Reporting the truth is a noble goal, but it's one with very little commercial value, click bait and spin doctoring is what sells and I don't expect that to change anytime soon.

It's not SJWs that are problems, it's people who are bullying and abusive, people who ignore clear evidence (or don't even try to find it), and people who try to reach their goals with violence.

Um, that's how SJW is pretty much defined. People aren't bothered by other people who want to solve issue, they are bothered by all the deplatforming and thought crime policing that is going on, based generally on nothing more than lies and accusations. SJW is a slur term to describe that behavior, it's not meant to describe solving actual injustices in the world.

Just look at this issue in particular. It happened decades ago. Nobody really knows what exactly happened (one source says Minsky simply said "No"). And who gets thrown under the bus? Not the guy that organize the whole thing. Not the guy who visited that island. Not the police and politics that allowed Epstein to get away with all this. Just some completely unrelated guy that committed the crime of thinking for himself. That's the issue, that's almost always the issue.
