If exploiting is your worry, then it could always be voluntary but with the offer of reduced sentencing (depending on the crime and the evidence) after a few tests. But really, if you are going to be put to death for killing a family or 10 random people (basically rehabilitation would never be the goal), why not make you a benefit rather than a burden to sociality and help further medicine instead?

I'd rather see criminals sentenced to life or death be given to medical research here on earth. It doesn't require them to posses any knowledge or training like a trip to Mars would and I believe the benefits we'd reap from them with the medical research could potentially be far more rewarding.

Heck, if you really want to use them for space travel purposes, we could use them to figure out how to do long-term cryopreservation.

I have been researching roms and kernels for the Samsung Epic, which of course is a CDMA phone and has 4g. You didn't mention which Samsung S you have, but are you aware of a rom that is Froyo and also has CDMA, Wifi, and 4g capabilities for the Samsung Epic?

Is there a way to keep the stock rom, but force it to upgrade to froyo using root?

I have a feeling that what we are seeing here will quiet possibly point us to Google's future behavior.

The article never fully explained how they received $100,000 from youtube. Was it the t-shirts they were selling? If so, I would say they earned $100,000 from selling t-shirts of their now famous son and not that they received the majority of their funds from the youtube video itself even if it was an direct cause of those t-shirt sales. To me, the t-shirts are an indirect stream of revenue caused by the video. Revenue directly from the video itself to me would mean ads before or after the video or some other means of revenue that is passively accrued after the video is viewed.

I would love to have it cleared up for me as to exactly how "most of the money came from Youtube."

I would like to point out that if you read Wii forums on the exercise games, that many people are CRYING out for a controllerless way to exercise with something interactive like the Wii. The Xbox 360's Kinect will do exactly that. If the software is programmed competently so that the motion is recorded accurately, the Xbox may have a HUGE hit with those of us attempting to use such devices for weight loss or simply an entertaining way to exercise.

In my opinion, the only exercise games on the Wii that even comes close to recording your movements while giving you a great workout is the EA Sports series. The only reason why those particular games come close is because they attach the Nunchuck controller to one of your thighs so that it can increase the accuracy via a manual hack if you will. The attachment device eventually starts to rip and you have to buy another one. That's the best exercise series the Wii has to offer - a series that forces you to continually purchase a strap because it rips.

Believe me when I say the Xbox 360 has a great chance of ripping the exercise market away from the Wii.

It's awesome that we keep finding evidence of water on Mars, but how are astronauts going to live there long term? Expanded space crafts? Bubbles? Underground? Or how about an even better long term solution if eventually possible: strengthen the magnetic field for mars so it can hold more of an atmosphere while molding the air to our needs.
