Would, you call the software engineer working on a product intended to be sold an "IT Professional"? After all, he does work with Information Technology.

I think the phrase correctly identifies those fields where creativity is the core of their job rather than a very useful side skill.

Submission + - Therapist contractor data protection requirements

Elros writes: I will be working as a therapist contractor in various school systems. An iPad will likely be my primary mobile computing device. However, I am somewhat concerned about storing data in Apple's cloud or in Google Documents. This will be HIPA protected data. Unfortunately, a large and involved data storage and protection setup will not be feasible. What concerns/ideas would Slashdot readers have?
