This is a brilliant comment !! + 5 if I could.
Microsoft try with its sites and alliance to promote Silverlight. Google with Youtube, Google homepage, Gmail and I don't know can push this plugin fairly easily to user.
Microsoft will have to play catch-up double time : to be in par with html5 and javascript performance, and to be in par with the Google Chrome plugin in its own browser. Pretty funny if you think about it.
Well it seems that given the FUD Ms is doing on this plug-in we can deduct that they are very uneasy about it. This is the same kind of FUD they did with Dr-Dos or Netware. One thing is different now though, people are used to Ms making FUD statements and we are not eager to believe everything as is what they tell now. But, since this is a technical argument FUD, I expect Google to respond accordingly like they always do.
Google Frame is mainly aimed for corporations where IE is the main browser. This plugin in really a great great idea and change the game. This is what Google do best : change the game instead of going head to head with the competition. But going standard into corporate desktop will need a lot of proof of stability and security. Google can do it.
Google help reinvent the paradigm... I agree that sharepoint is a lock-in tool but the google approach is to put documents in the cloud. Right now there is so much IT departments everywhere that cost so much to business. Imagine in 5-15 years. Corporations will have the smallest It dept possible, their only job will be to make sure that the net connection to Google is working.
thanks for the input!
No that's not it. I program little apps for my work. These apps are for internal usage only. When I'm in trouble i look into Google for example of code that resolve the problem I have. I have to be extra careful when I copy-paste that solution to be sure I don't infringe on anybody right or license. In this case, I do not know if I can take the GPL code or not so I do not take it. Am I right or not, I don't know.
If I can take the code, then that is not clear in my mind. If i can not, then my move is correct.
Yeah. Krugman tell also that the economic crisis is over. But it seems that this is just another bubble and when the governments spending will end, the economy will be hit hard. In the meantime, Krugman has his time of glory.
try "microsoft failure"

Can we hope that they will develop a LAN enabled starcraft 2 during this mean-time ? It would be a welcome surprise.
lol !!! There's no porn !
He said things that americans will react to : particularly this one "costs American workers 373,375 jobs". Canada does not live alone on a island. If americans in general are angry (justified or not) toward Canada they have 3 options : stand and ignore it, inform american that they are lied to, do what they ask.
And considering the Harper government here that is pro american lobbies, I'm not sure what it will do. For my part, i will fight and complain if they try to "dmca" us once again. They tried and failed a couple of times now.
Very interesting...and a little freaky too. Microsoft will never change.

Phil: Hi, how you doing? Thanks for watching.
[Starts to walk away]
Ned: Hey, hey! Now, don't you tell me you don't remember me because I sure as heckfire remember you.
Phil: Not a chance.
Ned: Ned... Ryerson. "Needlenose Ned"? "Ned the Head"? C'mon, buddy. Case Western High. Ned Ryerson: I did the whistling belly-button trick at the high school talent show? Bing! Ned Ryerson: got the shingles real bad senior year, almost didn't graduate? Bing, again. Ned Ryerson: I dated your sister Mary Pat a couple times until you told me not to anymore? Well?
Phil: Ned Ryerson?
Ned: Bing!
Phil: Bing.
