When I worked at a bank we had a visit from Vision Australia about accessibility. The demo they gave felt like it was way more than 3x. I could not comprehend any of it.

In the days of Halo 2 where you might miss out a copy of the DVD but preordering digital releases is just plain stupid. Wait for the reviews then make up your mind. Personally I want until the game is on sale with all DLC and at least a few rounds of bug fixes. I have no need to play rushed to market buggy games, not that Nintendo have a track record of buggy releases like the other big publishers. Moral of the story is don't preorder people. Or at least don't complain if you get burnt!

Netflix stopped me torrenting for quite a while there but this fragmentation of the streaming eco system has led me back there lately. I still have a Netflix subscription but refuse to have more than one streaming subscription. Ads on payed channels would be the nail in the coffin for me.

Since the last firmware upgrade my Samsung TV now displays ads for things like Netflix in the app bar when I push the menu button.

Fuck paying the Apple tax. Now with their hardcore battle against repairs I will never own another apple product.

Tim Cook is definitely not the visionary leader to keep Apple in the top spot.

As a web dev I am unwilling to support legacy browsers. Supporting old browsers only enables people who run old browsers that are potentially a security risk. Once a browser is a few years old you should be able to pop up a message that says upgrade or tough luck. Developing software is already incredibly expensive, why should we spend more money on very small percentage of users who don't stay updated. If you are worried about old people who don't have anyone to help them upgrade then you should start a volunteer community who offer these services to people. It definitely should not be forced upon developers to enable people to run updated software.

Last night I was watching Hank Green's YouTube channel Journey to to Microcosmos. I was thinking WOW 4K on my TV looks fantastic. Then I went to change to another video I noticed that it was only 1080P.

Talk about a solution to a problem nobody asked for.

Anyone can learn to code but few can learn to do it well. Lot of computer science graduates never learn to code well.

I bought a new TV last year and was disappointed that 3D was no longer an option. My friend has a fantastic 3D TV. She rarely uses the 3D option but when a good movie like Star Wars Rouge One that uses 3D well it is awesome to have that option.
