Was going to mod you troll....but eh....so I just tried your example. New writer doc, opened a .bmp file in a photo viewer....ctrl+c...switch to writer ctrl+v and there it is a bitmap pasted into writer.

So exactly what part are you having difficulty with? Are you trolling or is this a real difficulty for you?

As a side note, this method works with .jpg and .png files....I didn't have any convinent files with other extensions.

Comment Re:with unity? (Score 0) 104

I have been using Linux for a long while now, and mostly that has been Ubuntu. When Unity first showed its face it was an ugly face....slow, buggy and essentially unusable.

However it has become far more polished and useful over the years, when Ubuntu 13.04 came out I moved back from Mint, I was unhappy with the direction of Ubuntu and decided to move to Mint, initially it looked decided that Mint was where I would stay.

Yes Unity is slow on older hardware, but I am a computer geek....I don't do slow harware, my i7 laptops and desktop don't have an issue, and 13.04 is much much better optimized then the original (10.04 / 10.10) versions.

I'm not an appologist and I don't believe in flame wars either, if you like it use it....if you don't well there are many choices available.

As for Unity as a phone interface, the demos/videos that have been floating around the web look really interesting and I would be happy to give it a chance against my Android device. I would judge it on its own merits as a usful/frustrating device.

Ok so I mostly have a problem with the 25 hours per week bit.....yea maybe as a business student....but I graduated as an engineer in 2009, 25 hours a week is closer to the amount of sleep you get not the work you do....especially in 4th year...oh and I am a New Zealander and studied in NZ so the money thing is different but I can't imagine that the required work is much different.

I love calibre, and yes selling an ebook for the same price as the tree meat version is utterly retarded....did they learn nothing fom what happened to and is largely still happening to the music industry......stupid publishers.

I would generally agree; but generally don't go beyond linear algebra; and in the wonderful modern age add a link or a QR on a printed article with links to improve understanding.

On these extra information sites have further links to more detailed information for those that are interested, further to this the same technique could be used with any technically dense subject matter...main artcle with basic scientific info ->link-> more in depth about original content ->link-> specific detail about relevant fields

Well I was born 33 years ago and I find none of these things inspire disbelief, maybe if you said some one who was old 40 years ago and possibly dead now.

I know my grandfather was always amazed by what tech I used daily before he died a few years ago at 89yrs. Computers and cell phones were a mistery to him.
