I think aside from having an alternate controller to the tablet, Nintendo needs the necessary games for the new system if they want to appeal to hardcore gamers and branch out their fanbase.

Why would I care a bunch of families bought the Wii? All I care about are the games I care about playing, none of which are offered on the Wii. (except possibly Zelda, though it's at about a nine-year-old's level of difficulty)

This article pertains to hardcore gamers, which is not included in the original and probably not even the Wii U's demographic. Sure, it had the best sales and made a lot of money, but we're referring to the "hardcore gamers". In this regard, the Wii did not sell well.

You mean they play a returned game before selling it as used. It's illegal to open a game then sell it as new, due to copyright laws.

Most games nowadays have such a terrible replay value, it might as well not have any at all anyways. Also, it's been mentioned numerous times what kills console game profits is buying used games, as opposed to pirating. Reason being that the video game stores make all the money off selling used games and the video game company doesn't see a dime off of it. As a consumer, why WOULDN'T you buy the used version of the game if you can save five bucks for the exact same thing, with a seven day return policy? Expect to see this and more approaches to this issue (such as an increase in DLC) by video game developers in the future.

Wasn't there a law that you must not lie in court? Or does that not apply when you can just say "oh look this person's minor quirk looks like a condition! Easy defense". This is why most legal systems don't work.
