Not strictly true, if cosmic inflation happens / heppened at a speed great than light - a popular hypothesis these days. Then the reason why the night sky isn't saturated with light is, most of the bright points are too far away to reach us, or are inflating away from us faster than their legs of light can run.

Popular advice says that you shouldn't compost such wood chips. Small amounts go in the trash.

Disposal is a good question, for which good answers are available. In "throw away" cultures, the question has implicit assumptions of "doing it cheaply" or engaging in landfill habits.

In Japan and elsewhere, advanced incineration seems the preferred solution.

If the Navy is comfortable funding long-running energy projects, maybe they should join the hunt for fusion reactors too. They'll get another never-ending source of promotions and funding. Think of all the jobs for marketing types who can likewise extol the benefits if they ever get something that works.

Regardless of all this commentary, please come back to us in a month of so and let's us know what happened to these two guys. Did they stay? Go? Get kicked out? Get upgraded? Or maybe you, as a new manager, suddenly realized you somehow DID need them for exactly whatever it is they do?

I'm also curious to find out the perspectives and follow-up from these two employees. It seems we have everyone-in-the-world's opinion here except theirs!
