That could be the case but this is part of a agreement that was settled because of the period they had a monopoly...

Furthermore, Apple is doing far more egrarious violations.

I personally don't see where, but if you have a valid complaint put your money where your mouth is an fill a complaint... . But something tells me it is more talk... .

What about the fact that Apple refused to convert to microUSB with the new iPhone 5. Where is there fine.

What about the fact that you clearly don't know the European directive regarding micro usb. They are as compliant as there is a Micro USB adapter. The European directive doesn't state that every phone manufacturer needs to convert to micro usb but give the possibility of reusing micro usb adapters (through adapters, etc) So it would be stupid to fine a company because they are in compliance.

At least Microsoft lets me install an alternative browser

And btw I'm an android developer but my main tablet for example is still an iPad. The thing that harms andriod seriously is fragmentation, bad documentation (quality, not quantity) , less strictness which results that a lot of hw companies are sloppy, weak support for older devices, no really good design guidelines,... . For me it is the Drupal of the mobile world. Not a bad platform, but it sometimes drives me nuts.

People that say things like "they think the software is better... And are greatly mistaken" have never used the two platforms on a daily basis. Android is slowly getting there, but the really big problem is that a lot of devices are still suck on 2.3 gingerbread. It would be nice if android hw companies would support their older devices as Apple does with older hardware. An iPad 1 being stuck on iOS 5 is nothing in comparison with a lot of android situations. And the number of normal people (non geeks) that root their phone is zero to none.

To be honest with Android I have the feeling that a lot of love gets into the advertisment or google services part of the os, but it lacks in the other departements. The Android API (especially the older versions) sometimes amazes me in stupidity.

I'm never going to play in the NFL and you are never going to make a living playing games in your mom's basement, deal with it.

I'm not particularly interested in streaming video about games, but seeing the popularity (also regarding viewers) in these services I won't say that nobody wants to watch these kind of video.

This hasn't been an issue since then because the python.co.uk domain has, for most of its life, just forwarded its traffic on to the parent companies, veber.co.uk and pobox.co.uk. Unfortunately, Veber has decided that they want to start using the name "Python" for their server products.

Seems like a cheap way to abuse the popularity of python to try to sell their own products. This is a company that I surely will ignore if they come in my path, don't like that kind of shenanigans.

Look at the DVD for example how the ps2 accelerated the adoption of this format. Microsoft dream is about Microsoft everywhere

The same thing happend with blu ray that totally destroyed microsoft hd dvd push. The xbox never has been about gaming and I'm even sure that for the next xbox the focus will be also bigger on non gaming capabilities.

The irony of the whole thing is that the xbox seriously weakend their windows platform as it weakened the argument "I need windows because I want to game"
