Will people please stop saying this? "Hitler only killed six million people" is simply not true. Six million is the number of Jewish victims of the Holocaust. Hitler also murdered millions of other civilians from various groups; the usual figure given for them is about five million. Furthermore, Hitler started World War II, which killed tens of millions of people even after subtracting those who were killed because of his allies. It is invalid to directly compare a subtotal for a fascist dictator with a grand total for communist dictators.

And also please correct "Sci-Fi" to "Fantasy."

As I understand it, we already live several times as long as an animal of our size and metabolic rate should. Isaac Asimov wrote an essay, "The Slowly Moving Finger," which plotted lifespan against metabolic rate for various animals and found that humans were far off the curve. I wonder if whatever this technique does for mice has already been done for us, long ago, by evolution.

And the Church never "condemned" his observation of the moons of Jupiter, only his insistence on stating heliocentrism as fact at a time when it wasn't yet established.
