Where I live there are very strict gun laws, and gun crimes are very low compared to just a couple hours south of me in the US. Even taking the population density difference into account, there is a very distinct difference between our two countries when it comes to gun deaths. I have lived in the US, and in a couple of European countries and I think the major difference is not just the availability of guns (though more guns = more gun deaths is a given) but the attitude towards guns and gun violence in the US is really a scary thing to behold.

But you see, that is the point. There is no group, no rules, no boundaries and no organisation. Everyone IS anonymous because all it takes is for ANYONE to decide they are behind any of the causes and they are anonymous. If you arrest a few people, the rest will more likely mock the arrested than actually care. Your "logic" does not have any bearing on this whatsoever. It is not supposed to be "logical" it is supposed to be chaotic and shapeless. That is, in fact the reason they won't stop it. It is like grasping at smoke.

"Because it might hinder linux" is a pretty stupid reason for dumping the chrome OS. I don't know if you realize this or not, but the reasons for not using linux aren't limited to it not being available or known to the masses. At this point most people know what it is, and many people have tried it. I had it on my netbook pre-installed, and I installed windows 7 instead. Why? It saves me a lot of time and effort to run windows over linux. I find applications I need more quickly, never have installation issues or driver issues, all my devices work with it as is, and I have far more options. Linux is a very solid OS, but its really not a good choice for many people who could care less about learning it or spending more than 5 minutes configuring their software. My netbook is a tool I use for work, and I don't particularly enjoy my time using it. I would much rather be doing something else, so spending extra time on it, to me, is just not something I am willing to do. I have very rarely had virus or security issues because I just don't run around clicking on random crap online, so the whole "security" issue is just not there for me.

You see the problem with that statement is that you omit an important fact. Windows is the ONLY PC platform for gaming. Period. The minority OS's will never see support for SLi or Direct X, making them completely useless to those of us who game and build gaming rigs. Calling people names because they like to game on their PC's is just another reason why these discussions are never of any importance in this particular forum.
