Submission + - Piano Piracy

jefu writes: "In an emerging case, doubt has been cast on the originality of classical piano recordings. It seems that CDs of piano musicby Joyce Hatto were lifted wholesale from other recordings and published as hers under her own label. According to a NY Times op ed piece on Feb 17 not all the originals have been identified as yet. The RIAA seems ready to jump on people downloading music from the web, but this seems to indicate they may not be capable of identifying a real large scale commercial copyright infringement. Schadenfreude anyone?"

Submission + - Memory...Can you remember all without writing down

MacD writes: "About a year ago I saw that a company called Posit Science had a flash based game called the Brain Speed Test. It was a pretty amusing mind exercise. I went back to there cite last week and noticed they still have a newer version of the Brain Speed Test(although its seems to be in look only), but also a sister site about Brain Fitness. On this site they have new memory exercise called Word List Recall. Its pretty simple, but first couple times I found it tough to memorize...maybe Im just getting older. Enjoy. http://bfc.positscience.com/eval/wlr.php"

P3NIS_CLEAVER writes: Nuclear energy has been proposed as an alternative to coal power plants that generating carbon dioxide and emit mercury. As we are seeing now in Iran, the desire for nuclear energy has created a gray area that places peaceful civilian power generation at odds with nuclear non-proliferation. An article at Resource Investor claims that thorium reactors can be used to replace existing reactors without creating isotopes that may be used in nuclear weapons.
