Kursk received a lot of propaganda related coverage.. unlike Thresher and Scorpion.

So, you post such commentary based on what? Some false sense of superiority? As others have posted, other nations have also lost nuclear subs... (Nuclear weapons as well if you want to go down that path).

There was a time, not long ago where China was the worlds sole superpower, far ahead of any other nation.

Then they got this idea in their mind that the world is full of "heathens", and trading should only benefit China, and everyone needs to pay tribute to them.

They burned their ocean fleat, closed their doors to the world.. and imploded. While they sat there thinking about how superiour they are, the world surpassed them.

By the time Trump is done with his Tarrif's, who will be left to trade with?

Go do a quick search on "titanium chain" (mens necklace)

Amazon even has a filter for "metal type" and you can choose "Titanium". That does NOT remove all the entries where the chain is actually made out of "stainless steel" yet still says "Titanium".

This is blatantly misleading, stainless steel Titanium.

Then there is the fake reviews, etc to deal with.

I use to be a big amazon shopper, but moved to ali express. If i am going to get "made in China" stuff anyhow, i'd prefer to remove the middle men.

you are aware that this is the case for EVERY COUNTRY in the world right?

In the United States, the federal government has sovereign immunity and may not be sued unless it has waived its immunity or consented to suit. The United States as a sovereign is immune from suit unless it unequivocally consents to being sued.

I suppose you wont be visiting the US now either?

Agree with everything you posted.. Again, this is why they need some reforms. The problem is the individual states will claim they have "jurisdiction" and the federal government is "encroaching".

So you end up with the current mess. Federal laws which are not well known, state laws which may not be enforceful, but are communicated to the employees.

As i read this, clearly it is based on issues in the US. Most countries dont really enforce DNC's as it impacts others ability to earn a living and often offers no compensation.

you wrote: The number of college professors with an IQ below 105 is 5%. The number of truck drivers with an IQ below 105 is 95%. Do you dispute this?

Others commented along the same lines as me:
And right there, you lose anything even vaguely resembling credibility. You look down on truck drivers, without any experience with them or the job, and therefore you think they are stupid. That's the prejudice and bigotry I expect from Slashdot, alright.

So, if you have been a truck driver, share your experiences..

We didnt have her tested so we can brag about her score, which is also why we never had her re-tested to find out just what it is.

We had her tested as she was around 6 at the time and clearly wasnt the same as the other kids, and was having a hard go at school. Once she was tested, and moved to a "gifted" school, her social life greatly improved as she was with other kids at her level.

The other kids in the general school would pick on her and bully her.. but she became very outgoing and social in her new school.

As the other kids matured, the importantance of having her somewhat seggregated greatly decreased and now she's off to UNI which is a mixed bag of gifted and non-gifted in the same class.

At the end of the day, i am greatful Ontario (where we live) has a gifted program, which wasnt around when i was younger as it was incrediblyh helpful for her, and others like her to be successful.

I have three kids, one was tested to be 'high-IQ" How high, we dont know, just that she is at least the top 2%.. .Mabe higher, but the true score isnt important, just that she is different and we wanted to her to go a school which tunes the classes for her abilities.

Raising the three of them i have a general understanding of the differences between her, and her brother and sister which we also tested and were not "gifted".
