I'm pretty sure this guy isn't either. If your computer isn't cutting it anymore, stop getting mad at the internet, stop being a cheap asshole, and buy a new one.

Considering the fact that you generally want faster internet speeds in order to download things in less time, I'm pretty sure a system that takes as much time as an auction would be of any benefit.
That's true, I wish they'd publish an API to allow integration with calendar apps, etc.
I don't know about Linux or OSX, but Windows has had a pretty nice speech recognition function (aptly titled Windows Speech Recognition) built into it since Vista. I don't use it much anymore now that I have a bunch of remote programs for Android, but it was useful for controlling my computer from across the room (or slouched down in my chair like a troglodyte). It can be used to type, open programs, select links, highlight the browser's address bar, and even click on a particular area of the screen using a fairly useful "mousegrid" system.
It works a lot better than that ill-fated live demonstration that was making the rounds a few years back, too.
There's a pretty big audience gap between a show about some geeks doing stuff nobody cares about and famous people (admittedly still doing stuff nobody cares about).
So... because a type of game with a small portion of the market engages in some sleazy business practices, an entire multi-billion dollar industry is dead? What a shitty article.
Uh... you're the one who seemed confused as to why the suits all happened there. Sorry I was trying to clarify it for you, shitstain.
I think the courts there are generally viewed as being very kind towards patent trolls like this, so they make every attempt to have their cases tried there.
I'm glad you're happy with your phone. Mine allows me to do my job wherever I am. Different people have different needs, who knew?
I think you underestimate the value of convenience. Having a picture is about keeping a memory of a moment. If you can capture those moments wherever you are without fumbling around for equipment, then the purpose of having the camera in the first place has been fulfilled. Higher quality would be nice, but we're quickly getting there. My phone takes better pictures than a lot of the film cameras I used to have.
I bet all those kids on your lawn get really tiresome, too.
He used to work for them, he's the idiot that tried to keep tabs on Anonymous and ended up getting hacked and leaking sensitive information himself.
I doubt it's anything that well-thought-through. Remember that while there are a lot of real hackers and such that call themselves a part of "Anonymous", a lot of 15-year-olds who think image macros are the height of hilarity do too.
I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a bunch of them using their real information on there, even.
Meanwhile, people are starving the world over while this guy apparently, according to the article, is fighting for the Austrian government to legally recognize a religion that started as a joke. Glad he's fighting for the rights of people who really aren't discriminated against in today's society instead of actually helping people.
Cool, meanwhile this issue will potentially affect tens or hundreds of millions of people.
