Nothing, but what is the significance of there being nothing between 0.999... and 1? If there is nothing between 0.999... and 1, then you would not the logical conclusion be that there is nothing between 0.888... and 0.999..., therefore 0.888... = 0.999..., and since 0.999...... = 1 then 0.888 = 1 as well?

There's plenty of numbers (infinite) in between .888... and .999... Examples:
.9
.89
.889
.891

What would you say 1 - .999... is? If you're thinking ". an infinite number of 0s followed by a 1," there's no such thing. An infinite number of 0s has no end for you to tack a 1 onto; its just 0.

Maybe I'm just remarkably tolerant of buggy software, but I've been using Firefox 4 as my only browser since beta 1 and I haven't had any complaints once I set the UI up the way I like it. It crashes once or twice a week but who cares? When I start it back up all my tabs are still open and I've lost is a few seconds of time.

Episode 3 was the biggest cinematic missed opportunity I can think of. The whole point of the movie, and the whole point of the prequel trilogy, was to see how and why Anakin went to the dark side. It was the reason we stomached the first two awful movies and should have helped us find new way to look at the original 3 movies. If they could nail that scene, the rest of the garbage might have just been worth it. Instead, the big payoff scene was clumsy and unbelievable and it manages to make all of the prequels all the more pointless. Unless they can get that aspect right, tweaking the rest hardly matters.

Sony took it a step further by taking ps2 support away entirely. While Microsoft may have stopped updating their backwards compatibility emulation, they certainly didn't remove it or stop making it available. A new 360 will still play the couple of hundred of supported original games, which is handy when you need your SSX3 fix.

Interesting. While the flood were a cool change of pace initially, that wore off quickly and I missed the more tactical encounters with the elites. They brought the flood back for halo 2 and 3 and those were easily my least favorite parts of those games. I'm happy they won't be making an appearance in Reach.

As for how important single player is, I've bought games without single player modes and games without multiplayer modes. I don't consider it a deal breaker if one of those components happens to be weak or missing as long as the other part is strong enough to make up for it.
