If they have WiMax, I would get one and not even sign up with a cellular carrier, I'd get Clear's WiMAX and keep my old phone for if I'm going out in the boondocks or traveling away from WiMAX coverage. OR maybe I'd get a pre-paid SIM chip for occasional use "just in case"

yes - this is what I'm seeing: the cable modem just resets periodically, windows says "a network cable is unplugged" and a couple minutes later it comes back to life. what is actually happening is far worse than than throttling, it's providing an unusable network connection, and I'm looking to move to an alternative ASAP. suggest everyone else do likewise. BTW - where is the slashdot story on the ACTA leak!
