Journal Journal: Strange New World
Ha ha ha, there is this place called Starbase 69 in Gallup. I thought what everyone else thought it was. I thought it was a porn shop. Apparently, due to the lack of business, they put up a dozen yellow signs on their walls proclaiming that they were not a porno shop but they sold pool sticks and other gear of that sorts. In any case, I had a good laugh and thought, hmm...you could change the name.
Hmm...thank you Brucie for my books. I should be receiving them shortly. I have issues with the price of books these days. I mean come on. $93.75 for a Pre-Calc book? You have got to be kidding. That better be one hell of a book. So to half.com it goes. It's the second week and I'm panicking. I suppose that's not good for my health. Oh well.
Carol brought back an interesting subject that struck a heart chord. Now, I'm not too sure about what to do in the this situation, but all I know is that I have been having some interesting feelings and thoughts. It's all behind that wall of bitterness and pride. And why the hell did we stop talking all together?? Grr...
I finished reading The Picture of Dorian Gray. Now there are a few nasty men in that story. Lord Henry took the cake and he probably the most evil man on Earth. Well, in Literature anyway...but I was thinking about it, and what scared me was that I identified with this man a lot on his point of views on many things, such as love and the way people look at others. Very very scary.
But perhaps this is one of my personal favorites from Lord Henry, "We in our madness have seperated the two, and have invented a realism that is vulgar, an identity that is void."
