How boring are these short shuttle flights getting that they'd rather be sitting around watching DVDs. An extended ISS tour I could understand, but these shuttle flights don't happen that often and I believe it's still pretty competitive to get on board. If it were me, I'd probably spend that time floating around doing back-flips or other stuff I couldn't do on earth. Hell, if they let me take someone's spot on the next trip, I'll buy them a copy of the DVD. They can watch it all they want down here while I'm bouncing off the walls in orbit.

We use VMotion and our only noticeable downtime was due to self-induced implementation issues. I think there might be a slight slowdown during the actual vmotion, but for what we're doing, it wasn't noticeable. A game server might be a different story.

Agreed. I also thought the music was great. Normally, I turn the music in games off (if supported) and put on my own music. However, the soundtrack for Mirror's Edge actually set a pretty good mood.

My biggest grief with Eve Online is that, although you don't have to be logged in all the time, only one of your three character slots can be training skills.

If you want to create an alt on the same account, you have to do so at the expense of another character's development. I know they do this so they can get people to sign up for multiple accounts, but it makes it really makes the other two character slots almost pointless (except for throwaway gate scouts and such).

I found this out on Wednesday. Apparently my cable company couldn't justify paying for on of my favourite channels. They didn't even wait until midnight. It was gone early in the morning on the 31st. Now I can't justify paying their bill.
