You seem to like analogies. I like them too. Here is one for you to ponder.

Horses were domesticated 5-6 thousand years ago. For thousands of years they had plenty of jobs: carrying riders and cargo, plowing, spinning wheels. Then in a historical blink of an eye, in 40 or 50 years nearly all the horse's jobs were gone. All horses have now is entertainment and sports.

Classy. Why are you Greta Thunberg Witnesses always resort to personal attacks when you lose the argument?

Why do we only see these extreme fire events now?

You claimed that you read and understood the article. Apparently you read only what confirmed your bias.

So, you read the article. Nice. Now you know that CA wild fires have nothing to do with climate change. Care to correct your statement to the contrary that you made earlier?

They will get the benefits of the public exposure: called "top scientists", people will talk about them. They will get invited as speakers here and there, maybe will publish a book and make a buck. OK, that I understand. But what if they are wrong? Is their career going to be ruined like it's ruined for Martin Fleischmann and Stanley Pons? Of course not. We won't know if they are right or wrong for another 20 or 50 years when they are dead and their predictions are long forgotten. So what's the actual material downside to them in making more and more apocalyptic predictions? How are they going to pay if they are wrong?

It's a well known fact that softer currency always replaces the harder one in circulation.
