That api design is retarded.
Sure but good luck updating XYZ cert in the certificate store for hundrends and hundreds of clients.
If you try to document it so that the user can update it then there is a 50-50 chance they will screw their certificate store and then not even their banking, gmail or shopping would work.
Don't be, trolls are easy to deal with. Just put a mirror in front of their faces...
It was definitely a parody as he was exaggerating his voice and jaw movements when reaching high notes.
It did prove what a great voice he has... other than that is your typical long repetitive SNL sketch.
I remember having a talk with an International Relations professor at university, he said (I'm paraphrasing) that in the international arena all nations have to fend for themselves eventually and that is defined as Realpolitik. The example was that if all nations were boats on the ocean, the size of each boat representing the power and influence of each nation, and if some big boat makes waves then all smaller boats will have to align themselves to the incoming ripples. The smaller you are the hardest the hit if you don't align yourself quickly.
So... for Sealand... I think it could be easily be overrun by the Bolivian Navy.
Despite AC's typical lack of taste and manners, he/she has a point.
Maybe you are overthinking it and this decision process is a kind of pleasure, like shopping for shoes. You really didn't let your feminine side express herself openly
It's funny because it's somewhat true....

Yup, you have to complete at least your first iteration... then refactor it like hell for the next... ad infinitum.
Yes maybe so, but they are cheap! A commodity.
Oh yeah, it's called a video game!
By itself aircraft carriers look like an easy target but they do not travel alone, they form part of a Carrier battle group. So you have to go undetected through a submarine and a few frigates to get near them. Not everything is related to costs if you can't replace it.
I didn't see gp post as condescending, I think he is trying to make the point of how serious private information storage is.
I did cringe on his reference of putting password/username/cc in one table, even encrypted. I suggest to use hash values to replace those real values and mask CC numbers. So even if the encryption is broken a hacker would not be able to identify the person.
Doing this doesn't limit your innovation in any way. It's actually a burden we all have to deal with to avoid a legal bomb landing on your lap.
