Never mind the human wreckage along the way.
You can bet it won't be to a country whose cops are working for Rupert Murdoch.
They just need to up their offer. Go invisible hand!
The only way that Social Security will stop being available is when people stop paying into it. As far as the money borrowed out of the SS Trust Fund being paid back from general fund revenues... well, that's the heist that they're trying to pull off with this "deficit reduction" kabuki theater.
The figures you mention are, as you said, for EACH FISCAL YEAR. There are many more than 20,500 (or even 65,000) H1-B visa holders in the US. I'm sure that you're a precious snowflake, but you're kidding yourself if you think that no one in a nation of 300 million could do the work you're doing.
Yeah, who wouldn't want to subject all of their retirement savings to the booms and busts of a corrupt private market?
Looks like the moron is the one who thinks that cops vote Democratic.
And it didn't cost him a dime...
Your use of "Democrat" (as opposed to "Democratic") Party is the tell for your own views on this. Don't be upset that the violence incited by your party's leaders had led to assassination. Own it.
I worked yesterday at the polls in New York. We had ImageCast paper-ballot optical-scan machines from Sequoia with ballot-marking devices attached for disabled voters. These gave all voters the ability to mark ballots privately.
Not giving in, but rather injecting their political agenda.
It's a good thing that we don't have a bunch of activist judges overturning all kinds of precedent!
They should have issued that statement after Bush v Gore.
Just to bust yet another right-wing myth: shots of BOTH Reagan and Bush in shirtsleeves in the Oval Office.
