I think it's less to do with creating a good image of Toyota and more to do with getting people thinking about Toyota. Just look at the hype this stupid prank has created. If some guy out there is thinking of buying a car but hasn't the first clue of what he should get, he will probably see this story in the news and the next thing you know he will be thinking "Toyota" the rest of the day and might actually get one.

you completely missed my point, obviously you don't like wall-e or the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. and just because you don't like them you think they should be excluded completely from the education system. its that type of backward thinking that makes the US higher education system the shit hole that it is now. "agree with me and ill give you an A!"

as i was taught, all fiction was rooted with the immature reader in mind to make an escape but not for that sole purpose. entertainment in a lot of ways does a lot to inform and get people to think. it certainly gets people to actually care anyway. why do you think the movie industry makes movies that have meaning or a message behind them? wall-e is a good example of an entertaining film, yet it teaches us the consequences of having everything handed to us and what could happen. entertaining sci-fi yet informative and thought provoking.

well, if you read later in my comment, that's kind of what i meant when i said "too bad they cant make anything that puts out more power... yet." Im fully aware of the problems with super capacitors, but i think if they can get it working properly, it will be a better solution than battery swapping or somehow designing one with a 500 mile range

maybe we could incorporate this into that plan to make solar panel roads. cars built with big antennas that scrape along a metal wire above and a metal wheel that runs along the conductive yet somehow transparent material below. everyone will want fords new trollymobile and all of our energy problems will be solved!
