Seriously. I have asked a few of the local ministers in my area when I was a christian. The de facto answer was always "The bible says absolutely nothing about whether or not intelligent aliens exist, but personally I think if God is really infinite then there is no reason why he wouldn't have many, many children.' It seems to be mostly the Catholics who believe weird stuff like that. (just an observation, Catholics aren't common here.)

Same here. I used fedora with Gnome3 for a while, but it doesn't like multiple monitors, and I don't like the way it's laid out. Also what is going on with rpms? Every time I play with an rpm-based system I get burned. Badly. Either the repositories are almost completely empty aside from the basics, or after installing a few packages I end up with a broken system somehow...

Buying a faster modem might help, it might not. where i live, there is no dsl, and the fastest i have managed to get out of my dail-up is around 16.8kb.... at that rate, its not even usable. not with all todays flash, and crap. I have satellite. much much better than anything else i could have gotten. (no reliably cell service either) except that the caps on data transfer are killing me.
