Dad Delivers Baby Using Wiki 249

sonamchauhan writes "A Londoner helped his wife deliver their baby by Googling 'how to deliver a baby' on his mobile phone. From the article: 'Today proud Mr Smith said: "The midwife had checked Emma earlier in the day but contractions started up again at about 8pm so we called the midwife to come back. But then everything happened so quickly I realized Emma was going to give birth. I wasn't sure what I was going to do so I just looked up the instructions on the internet using my BlackBerry."'"

Computer Games and Traditional CS Courses 173

drroman22 writes "Schools are working to put real-world relevance into computer science education by integrating video game development into traditional CS courses. Quoting: 'Many CS educators recognized and took advantage of younger generations' familiarity and interests for computer video games and integrate related contents into their introductory programming courses. Because these are the first courses students encounter, they build excitement and enthusiasm for our discipline. ... Much of this work reported resounding successes with drastically increased enrollments and student successes. While a focus on games may help stir interest, it seems as though game development studios are as yet unimpressed by most game-related college courses. To those who have taken such courses or considered hiring those who have: what has your experience been?

So, Smoke/Tar causes damage by the user. I too, have voided warranties due to how disgusting a computer was, with the fans not working. Or with pet hair, tar, dust and other things mixed together blocking airflow, or covering a motherboard.

Submission + - Birth of Google Dashboard causing security concern (google.com) 1

Acecoolco writes: Ok, so since Google released Google Dashboard, I have been browsing around the web history which Google stored from me since 2006. Could it be that they also stored other peoples searches, such as friends, in my history?

Let me explain.. Every now and again, a friend asks me to take care of their dogs while they are out of town.. I log into my google adsense, adwords whatever account. Would Google link the IP to my account, therefor making all future searches from my friend show up under my Google Dashboard?

We all know people search crazy things, such as drivers license number, SSN, and other important information. Can anyone confirm this?
