So what you're saying is that if I don't change my photo's file name, someone using google to search for a specific file name can come across a totally random image? Or are you saying that photos uploaded to a searchable site with a common file name can possibly come up in a google image search? Either way, this is shocking and I'm surprised you only got modded "+3 interesting"

It's not stealing, it's transmitting information. Transmitting information is good for society. That's what civilization is built on. Why should we subsidize your desire to specifically make money off writing software and selling it a certain way by limiting our own ability to communicate? If technological progress in communications is making your business model obsolete, maybe you should do something else. If you can't find any other way to continue writing software, no one but you is insisting that you should spend your time doing it. Society doesn't owe you this specific job you've chosen to take upon yourself.

Considering the answer to your question obviously lies there, I'm prone to believe that this scenario is made up to promote an "anti-piracy" agenda on this site.

No, "photog" is actually a case of shortening the word "photographer" instead of lengthening the word "photo." You can tell this because the word is used to refer to photographers and not photos.

Also, humans do not have problems with the syllables in "photog" any more than they would with the syllables in "prologue." You just gave yourself away, now leave our planet in peace.

Submission + - AIDS came to US via just one migrant from Haiti (wor.ldne.ws)

amigoro writes: "The AIDS virus entered the United States via Haiti, probably arriving in just one immigrant in about 1969, and from there spread worldwide, according to new research published this week in the online Early Online edition of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. "Our results show that the strain of virus that spawned the U.S. AIDS epidemic probably arrived in or around 1969. That is earlier than a lot of people had imagined," said senior author Michael Worobey."
