The monarch of Australia is not the same object as the monarch of the UK. It is a placeholder in our constitution and is represented by a parliamentary appointed govener general.... Who is tightly bound in their behaviour in the constitution.

As an Australian that has lived thru several pretty big bush fires of course people should be more responsible than that.... but the end of the day it is about fire managment.... California is like a little Australia and needs its fire managment, controled burns and state emergency services capable of handling it... Ive flown over NSW and seen the whole state on fire... but our fire fighters(firies) were there and fighting back.

I think the most likely case they are considering is a collapse(ie from war or climate change or whatever) followed by a new civilisation rising. Based on history this is a likely projection for us.

This has already happened. The Rat Patrol was a TV show in the 60s about soldiers in North Africa in WW2.... firstly they were American soldiers when Commonwealth soldiers were in that particular region. On top of that one of the seppos wore a ANZAC slouch hat that some people in Australia objected to... the hat is part of an honoured uniform in Australia and maybe shoudlnt just be used as a prop.
