Anyone who is sabotaging the best efforts of society to minimize death and suffering should expect some grief. If everyone had done the necessary, the outcome would have been much better. If you were anti mask or violated lockdown, you prolonged this shit show and to a certain extent you have blood on your hands. Judgement is inevitable.

Nope, don't buy that at all. Maslow's hierarchy of needs. Fill the bottom block and our relationship with each other changes. What would be the point of a war if you don't get extra resources? Maybe people would become hyper-sensitised to ideology or something, but what's the point if all basic needs are already met, and superfluous ones too?

I like that saying. I'm nicking it!

I'm under no illusions about the eternally 20 years away promise of nuclear fusion. Heck I remember reading about ITER when I was a boy I'm now mid 40's. Even though ITER is experimental that still hasn't been built yet.

However with the constant small advances we get such as the recent one at NIF, I think we'll get there eventually. Doubt I'll be around to see it though.

If we were to achive that super cheap energy those problems go away. Desalination becomes affordable, alleviating water scarcity for billions, food distribution becomes affordable at massive scales. If we satisfy those basic needs. for the entire planet aggrssion becomes counter productive. We can finally start working together.
