Ten inch pipe seems like overkill? Why not a simple pneumatic tube? Seems like it'd be more than sufficient to move a large quantity of "product" a great distance...
Then again, why would they limit themselves to the length they can drill directionally?
With the current state of autopilot driven R/C multicopters and planes I'd be surprised if the cartels wouldn't be flying their product great distances across the border on a nightly basis.

I'm sure there's quite a few relatively recently extinct animals that would generate quite a bit of "buzz" if the were suddenly brought back into existence.
I for one would like to see the Dodo Bird brought back. How about the Passenger Pigeon? No human alive today has ever seen a live one... Why not start there?

The donor hardware pictured in the "How We Made It" Section appears to be a Casio XJ-A240 DLP Projector - Retailing for a cool $999.99.
Seems like an expensive piece of donor hardware to be breaking down to build these!
Also - I wonder how many diodes they're getting out of each projector to get their final cost down to only $200 per pointer??

Sounds like Lockhart isn't the only one with this lament. This problem has been recognized by some , and some are in fact, Actively working to improve math education in our schools.
Math For America does exactly this. If you want better math education, the solution starts with retaining better math teachers. How do you do this? Simple.. Pay them a competitive salary.
Those who excel at math, rarely stay to teach it because it's more lucrative for them to take higher paying positions in the private sector.
