I work in a team which have been forced by the company to switch from AWS to Azure before I started. They all claim Azure is way behind AWS when it comes to managed services. Just renting virtual machines or running a Kubernetes cluster seems ok on Azure, but going cloud-native and using Azure Functions is crap compared to AWS Lambda. Things breaks often on Azure and it is very hard to get support. In general we think Azure is sold to managers and Microsoft centric IT departments. Their features are just a check list to compare with AWS. Once organisations are locked, who cares if actually works?

Weight. The size of beams in my house is calculated to carry the roof and some amount of snow, plus safety. There is no term for solar panels in there.

Money. Norway make tons of money from oil. Everything in Norway is very expensive, so a Tesla with no tax is suddenly cheap.

We already pay that much in tax for gasoline here in Denmark: 1 liter costs 12DKK. That is around 6-7USD per gallon. Isn't that roughly 3 times the price in the US? The difference is mostly taxes.

Neural networks are not good enough as they tend to overfit. Simpler machine learning algorithm might work. Machine Learning is not only neural networks.

Where I live, in Denmark, the small villages are dying off fast even though they do have fast, fiber based internet. Our educations are mostly in the big cities (>100000 inhabitants) , and once you moved there, you tend to stay. If they move, it is to Copenhagen, where there are more jobs and higher saleries. Working remotely isn't going to change that.

I can remember from my stays in the US that the toilets didn't flush very well. I later learned there were rules maximum size of the water tank. In Denmark water is taxed: Therefore there is a market for toilets saving water, having two flush options, large and small flush.

Politicians shall never decide the solution, but make incentives to solve the problem. I.e. tax water and CO2. Then the market will figure out solutions.

SR-71 never got near space. You might have thought of X-15, which went over the 50 mile limit but not over the Karman line (100km, the international limit for space). US lowered the limit to 50 miles such those pilots could get their wings..

Here in Denmark we have a central gene and tissue sample bank/register for medical purpose: Whenever you get taken a sample at a public hospital you are entered into the database. Of course, they promise very high security...

If you run Linux in a company as a software developer, you have to run Windows virtually to run for instance Office. And even that solution brings you at odds with a often MD centric It department.

So they to destribute it under GPL - but they don't: it is a service. No GPL violation here.

An alternative Rust implementation is needed. I would wait for a Gcc based implementation before relying on it in the kernel. Gcc and Linux supports many more CPUs than LLVM. Python also ran into this problem: a lib was replaced by a Rust one, dropping a lot of special architectures supported by the C version.

If you meter your usage by the price here and now, users can themselves install logic turning off air condition when the price goes high, charge the car or start the washing machine, when it is low.
