Comment Re:EU Effect (Score 1) 132

It's only 30% on apps that sell more than $1m in the app store. Smaller devs only pay 15%. And where's the equity on the Steam Marketplace, or the Sony Playstation store? Picking on Apple because they have the most money/success doesn't make sense. We want a fair playing field for all.

Comment Politicians are not Software Developers (Score 1) 65

In no way, shape, or form should the politicians and bureaucrats in government be defining what software Apple, Google, and others should bundle on their devices. They're not technically knowledgeable, and their plans will make the iPhone less safe than allowing Apple to be the middleman for all sales of software on the IOS platform. Also, Apple has already dropped the 30% fee to 15% until the company sells $$$$ worth of software and services. Without forcing similar changes to Sony's Playstation store and Microsoft's XBox store, this is an unfair change that shall bring a worse environment to market.

Comment EV Battery charging issues in cold weather (Score 1) 382

EV Battery charging issues in cold weather are not political, they are real and they are difficult to resolve.
1) batteries are less efficient in the cold
2) chargers are slower in the cold
3) if your vehicle's battery isn't warm to begin with, it will not charge
4) wait times outside charging stations are longer, especially when batteries are charging more slowly
