That's the next problem, a whole new generation, who doesn't know, how it can be done different, and expects menu's to be in UPPER CASE... Every next version of windows I hope they try something different, but everytime the manage to make it look even uglier... Don't forget they bought skype, latest version is so ugly, it hurt my eyes... But somehow it seems to be a trend around, make every look more ugly than the last version... I wonder if this will ever end...

not really wiser... Office 2003 was fine, then came ribbon, I know a lot of people who stayed with 2003. Only very few people really like the ribbons. And the latest office has ribbon AND looks ugly... Windows story is the same 3 version with the same ugly layout, you would think microsoft would learn something from it but no.... I don't mind flat, but if I can't see any difference between 1 window or the other, why would I want that ? ControlPanel is a different story, same problems: has also seen 3 incarnations now, it's even more chaotic. And then they wonder why people don't like to upgrade. They put everything somewhere else (so you need to relearn), it doesn't look great (not like when moving from windows to osx, given you the extra's you need to relearn something). Windows 7 move from XP, gave you 64bits, and lot of extra stability. What is windows 10 going to give me ???

vanillajs is a joke, I don't see any framework there, it's just rudimentary javascript, and the comparison with jquery is also bullshit, they write wrong jquery, or not the shortest form. So in other words, it looks just like native javascript, the idea with jquery is, that you can do it in much less lines, making your complex website a lot easier. I can't and wont argue about the benchmarks, it's possible, of course that native is a lot faster...

Why no? You can write a lot of stuff much easier than before, if you need something special you have plugins for it. Use of some kind of framework for your development is always good. If you mean there are better frameworks nowadays, than okay.

I don't understand science anymore, it doesn't have any answers, just some bunch of new theories, based on some old stupid theories, which most people defend with there lives, even if they are incorrect... If they could at least invent some stuff that wouldn't destroy our environment, that would be nice, because this way, in a few years, there won't be anyone alive, because the air ain't breathable anymore...

Am I stupid? Download k-lite codec pack and you have all the codecs you can imagine, which idiot is going to pay microsoft an other tax for a few codecs... I stay with windows 7, works fine... I have been having those codecs for years, for free... even under windows xp... Same is with iso file as drive DEAMON Tools lite, also for free. It's nice they have it, but not a reason to buy a new version of there shit...

Mounting ISO files, I can do for years, no need for a new operating system. UI was crap. Control Center has been crap for years, and every new version, they think about something new, and leave the old stuff in it... 10 looks just like 8, but with the key logging and some addon for the start menu. I had 5 windows open in windows 8, I could tell a difference, because the wasn't any difference between the border of one and the border of an other... When moving from XP to 7, I got more stable Windows Explorer, and 64bits (XP + 64bits was very unstable). But it also fucked up the network with home group, something that most of the time doesn't work. A whole lot of other stuff went wrong with 7, so lets just keep it that way, no need to make it even worse...

Guess no compelling reason the ever upgrade to windows 10. I'm staying at 7...

We have a few web-servers, the new ones come automatically with Windows 2012 version, there are terrible, everything is put somewhere else. And a lot of stuff doesn't work, because of some new security measurements... It's no fun working with them...
