I see your comment and see the umm wisdom in it, however, it's somewhat analagous (IT-wise) to 'Don't shoot your foot with a gun.'.

If you don't understand why you shouldn't do this...you shouldn't have root access. It's as simple as that.

I think you're right...I also think they did a poor job of design. Todays video capabilities are so much more..that they shouldn't look so flat and boring.

Two things to think about....how tiny/delicate is the connection matrix (subject to damage?). And, in the event of a widespread disaster that takes civilization to near zero, the ability to engineer something able to read them....does the civiization following ours have to evolve to our technological level to read it ? That somewhat would make it useless for someone trying to survive/rebuild in the aftermath.
Maybe stone tablets WOULD be a better idea (seriously).

I don't have a good solution...I wish I did. There's no reason you can't change your email password today and die before you can document it (which if you're like most people might be a week later).

I think you might be surprised how compressible the pattern might be. There's a lot of duplication in them there waters.
