Just to clarify, I in no way intended to make that comment directly to Mr. Anonymous Coward, 'you' was intended to be a random religion. It was a poor choice of words on my part. Obviously, I have not had a chance to offend Mr. Coward (yet) as I have not explained my views to him.

Nobody, as far as I know, has ever claimed that a non-religious person can't perform moral acts as religious people do, merely that they don't.
So non-religious people dont perform moral acts? Utter rubbish.
People who are not religious typically don't have their philosophical worldview explicitly tied to charitable giving regularly every week.
and some people who attend places of relious worship are taught hate, bigotry and intollerance. Your basic assumption that religious people=good, non religous people=bad is utterly flawed.
