Immediately after a mass extinction is when one could expect rapid evolution while ecologies rebuild and niches are filled.
Should we cringe under our beds in govt mandated lockdown until all illness is eradicated, or should we accept that death is a fact of life and get back to living.
It's not a silver bullet, but it's still good as part of a defence in depth, zero trust model.
As you point out this is a solved problem, Tandem does the same thing too IIRC. At the moment I have very little use case for 8+ cores but I do have use cases for compute assurance. The way to do it would be to compare the output of identical execution, if they don't match then try it again, one more time mark the parts failed.
Pair cores for critical tasks, compare results beteen them. Mainframe style.

So the issue isn't traders overextending themselves on stock gambles with securities they don't own to the extent that they could crash the economy and require a bailout, it's investors legally buying stock in anticipation of the traders having to purchase it.
Hey at least now we all know Larry owns a Hawaiian island...
If meat is so natural to humans, why don't you eat what a cat eats? A cat can grab a passing mouse and eat the whole thing head to tail as I could pluck a fruit from the tree and do the same. I don't think you'd be able to tackle bigger prey.
Tesla is the #1 electric car manufacturer. ICE vehicles are a sunset industry their days are numbered no matter how many they sell today. Tesla is selling cars as fast as they can make them, you don't think the competitors would want a slice of that pie and to get away from buggy whips? I think everyone is making EVs as fast as they can but they just don't have the battery manufacturing that Tesla does, nor do they have the supporting infrastructure.
How many sonnets have you written, or cities have you built?
How many electric cars did those competitors sell? This is an apples and oranges discussion I bet at one time horse buggies sold a lot more than automobiles.
