It's weird that you say something is lightyears ahead of something else because it is backwards compatible. While this may make Samsung pay more useful, I don't think it represents any technical breakthrough on their part, but rather an intentional choice to make their product more useful. I'm not sure how much more useful, since the magnetic terminals are supposed to be phased out already (IIRC).

Take a real scandal (NSA) and link it to a fake one (IRS). If you are stupid enough to make your organization's name sound like it's that of a political party, you can expect extra scrutiny. The reason I know there was no real suppression is that Crossroads GPS got its tax-exempt status and then spent millions on the election, "educating" voters to vote for Mitt Romney. Where was the outrage from Stockman when President W. Bush was firing US Attorney's who prosecuted Republican politicians?

Here's where Snowden crossed the line from whistle blower to traitor. When he allegedly revealed that we had tapped German Chancellor Angela Merkel's phone. This was a legitimate piece of spycraft that he revealed to our enemies and allies. Now you may say, should we be spying on Germany? Well, you'd be naive if you believed the German's weren't spying on us in some fashion.

I'm not convinced the NSA is collecting more information about me than Google is, or whoever puts the ads for stuff I look at in Amazon on other web pages.
