I think our main advantage is our ability to break rules. A computer will follow whatever rules we give it. For example, from the summary,

Those sorts of extensive rearrangements were beyond Rosetta's abilities, since the energy changes involved in the transitions are so large.

A human, on the other hand, can just say, "To hell with the energy, I'll just do it anyway."

Basically I hate the way democratic politics works, it's crap. And I hate stupid people. Stupid people shouldn't have this much influence.

I agree. Think about how stupid the average person is, and realise that 50% of people are stupider than that. And these people are making decisions on who should run the country. It's ridiculous. I prefer despotism.

The goal of science is to find elegant truths (scientific theories) about the universe, and trying to find a way to link these elegant truths into a single profound truth encompassing an entire field of study.

Newtonian physics is an elegant truth, Einsteinian physics is a more elegant truth that explains Newtonian Physics, and Unified Field Theory is the single profound truth in the field of physics, explaining both Newtonian and Einsteinian physics, that we're hoping to build up to.

I disagree. Science are merely descriptions of the universe, it's not the truth. Newtonian Physics describe a certain aspect of the universe. So does Einsteinian Physics etc. Scientists make up theories based on what they observed, and in principle is no different from someone saying, "Roses are red and violets are blue.". "Red" and "blue" are not truths, they're just a subset of the properties of roses and violets.

Problem is that the war does not stop until all of the earth has been brought under the rule of Islam, according to the koran. So if you are going to quote it, quote it all.

Where in the Quran does it say that?

And the marmaduke pickthall translation is better than the yusef ali translation.

Here's the Pickthall translation of 47:4

"Now when ye meet in battle those who disbelieve, then it is smiting of the necks until, when ye have routed them, then making fast of bonds; and afterward either grace or ransom till the war lay down its burdens. That (is the ordinance). And if Allah willed He could have punished them (without you) but (thus it is ordained) that He may try some of you by means of others. And those who are slain in the way of Allah, He rendereth not their actions vain."

How is this better than the Yusuf Ali one? If anything, it makes it clearer that we kill disbelievers only when we meet them in battle.
