It's not just English. I remember facepalming in an Econ 101 class back at KU. The professor was going over some basic equation like "P x M / Q = I". He was solving for one of the variables in the numerator, so he multiplied both sides by the denominator. There was an uproar in the auditorium, because many of the students didn't think this was correct. "Really, you're a freshman in college and you can't do basic algebra?" It was pretty embarrassing...

“These defendants, knowing full well that their business with U.S. customers and U.S. banks was illegal, tried to stack the deck,” said Janice Fedarcyk, assistant director-in-charge at the FBI. “The defendants bet the house that they could continue their scheme, and they lost."

Did anyone else almost throw up when they read this?

So a subset of manufacturers don't supply Android updates for as long as you'd like? Buy from a different one -- thats the point of Android. HTC never released Froyo on my G1, so I decided to root and install CM6 for kicks... After a week of frustration, I reverted back to the original software. There are often very good reasons why some manufacturers only go so far with Android versions (e.g. hardware limitations).

Huh? Google is limiting people from installing new versions of their OS? I must have missed that one. I have a second generation ipod touch, and while I can technically update the OS, it runs like a bloated, unusable POS when I do (because of all the additions Apple added) -- so by that token, Apple releasing new iterations so fast is limiting my ability to install apps that are only compatible with newer version of iOS (by your logic).

My mistake, you're right... Lets see...

A 1.4Ghz Core2 Duo, 2GB DDR3 Ram, 128 GB HDD, 11" display, Snow Leopard, etc. for $1,199

A 1.66Ghz Atom, 1GB DDR2 Ram, 160 GB HDD, 10.1" display, Snow Leopard, etc. for $249...

NONE of those categories even compare. Not even when considering the price difference: $1,199-$249=$950. Thanks for the insightful response... I remember when slashdot had a few people who knew how to take price into consideration when judging said performance.
