pondermaster writes: CNet News reports that the Pirate Bay trial begins today: "The four men behind the popular file-sharing site The Pirate Bay go on trial Monday in Stockholm, accused of helping millions of Internet users illegally download protected movies, music, and computer games. The defendants--Fredrik Neij, Gottfrid Svartholm Warg, Peter Sunde Kolmisoppi and Carl Lundström--face up to two years in prison and a fine of 1.2 million kronor ($143,529) if convicted of being an accessory and conspiracy to break Swedish copyright law."

Maybe it's time for someone to write a DDK emulation layer? Should be able to yank out most of it from the ReactOS project. Not perfect, but at least the binary drivers from windoze could be use as a last resort.

I guess you would be *really* surprised to hear about how long Linux keeps data buffered before committing it to disk...

That's increasingly not the case. openbsd has the blowfish, netbsd the stupid flag and freebsd the devil.
When the occasional BSD lurker sees a devil, he thinks FreeBSD.

Have the text/image animated, each frame by itself doesn't contain all the information needed to decipher the text/image.
Interlaced CAPTCHA's is the thing!
