Thanks for the memories slashdot. Truely.
The intelligent discussions seem to have disappeared. Best wishes.
I'm surprised you are not complaining that apple only has 1 mouse button
Fine; I will complain about the 1 mouse button. It's so abnormal. I feel like i'm wearing a mitten when I try to use their mice.
It frees them up to do more productive and valuable work. Someone's got to build and program those robots.
I don't know the last time you were at a McDonald's, but I don't see any of those workers taking up a class on robotics or embedded systems programming any time soon.
Maybe you mean it will open up eventual programming and repair jobs for their children? The replaced workers will just have to resort to society supporting them financially for the next few decades until they die off.
Americs has fallen behind in nearly every area. We are a stupid nation a lot of the time.
Mr. Trump, is that you?
the outcome should not be unexpected
And there is the problem. Have we sunk so low that it should be expected that our society will not be civil? The robot made it safely across canada and parts of europe. It spent a week with a heavy metal band, people respected it.
Two weeks in america and its defiled. Makes me emberrased.
The Company acquired Slashdot Media in 2012 both to provide the Dice business with broader reach into Slashdot's user community base and to extend the Dice business outside North America by engaging with SourceForge's significant international technology user community. The Company, however, has not successfully leveraged the Slashdot user base to further Dice's digital recruitment business; and with the acquisition of The IT Job Board and success of Open Web, the anticipated value to the Company of the SourceForge traffic outside North America has not materialized. The Company now plans to divest the business, as it does not fit within the Company's strategic initiatives and believes the Slashdot Media business will have the opportunity to improve its financial performance under different ownership.
It's a naive, domestic operating system without any breeding, but I think you'll be amused by its presumption.
