eFax was simple but inefficient. Consensus is NOT simple and for Enterprise Date: Apr 27 2023
Summary: Not very user friendly once they have you signed up and paying EXPENSIVE Prices. Their support is almost non-existent and complex problems-requiring more than one person to assist- are handled in a BACK and FORTH manner rather than group call. Very CUMBERSOME and unsatisfying.
Positive: eFax was simple and easy. It was expensive and only got more expensive. They tried to save me money by moving to Consensus-their new product.
Negative: eFax could not get me my faxes in only single send- per referrals- so I paid much more for multiple faxes of the same item. They also could not handle/remove SPAM faxes, so I had to pay for those also. Finally their support is not good and one person could not handle issue. Each issue needed 2 or more people/calls/departments to address issue-many issues NOT corrected.

Avoid eFax Corporate Date: Jan 24 2024
Summary: Awful. I've been using eFax for nearly 10 years. Their site is dated and clunky, but functional. I have never had a problem until this year (hence the 2 stars).
This year, I switched to eFax Corporate. It took 45 days to port over my number. They then charged me twice for the month they ported my number over (an admitted error on their part), plus an account activation fee I was told would be waives. They conveniently forgot to credit me with the balance remaining from my eFax account, as I had paid annually.
I have now spent 3 months and precious hours of time trying to sort out my first bill - which should have been a credit of $40, but was instead $105, deducted automatically. I've received a lot of lip service, but nothing has been accomplished.Positive: It works to send and receive faxes.
Possible to send from email.
HIPAA compliant.Negative: Clunky, dated platform.
