Zoiper Description

Encrypt your VoIP calls to stop people listening in on your conversations Do you hate it when people listen in on your conversations? We don't like it either. That's why we offer free encryption of all text, voice, and video communications with TLS/SRTP or ZRTP. Our VoIP softphone will search everywhere for your contacts, and display them in a combined list to make it easy to access. Outlook, windows/mac. LDAP. XMPP. XCAP. Android. iOS. We can handle it all. We will also look up incoming calls so you know who called before you answer. Zoiper can be used on many different platforms. It doesn't matter if you use Windows, Linux, or macOS. We have a solution for you, whether you're using iOS, Android, or a browser. And we're constantly adding more. It's not a buzzword, it simply means that we can do Audio, Video Fax, Presence, Instant Messaging, and Fax. All this from one intuitive interface.

Best Multi voip provider softphone and best free apps

    Date: Apr 21 2023

Summary: Zoiper fulfills its mission perfectly. Receive calls and be able to call.
I use it both on Windows and Android and I like it for its simplicity and wide range of vendor support.

Positive: I use for my business Zoiper since 7 years. I've try many others and i always back to Zoiper. Easy to config, easy to use with multi different VoIP provider. Exist for all OS. And the most important, one lifetime price.

I use it anywhere in the world and it never failed.

Negative: Zoiper hasn't changed much since 2019 and integrating it into certain phone models is sometimes difficult.

    Zoiper Service

    Date: Apr 26 2021

Summary: Still trying the system for other features I like call recording and transfer but could not activate or sent SMS but for me its still worth giving a chance.

Positive: I used it with handset then move it to mobile works well. Their customer service support is good but takes long through email but price much reasonable I used Free trial and upgraded its affordable.

Negative: Not easy to apply the features, limited customer support I need 24/7 support not to wait for email respond after 24hours. They still have lots to improve.

No support and developers don't know or care what they are doing.

    Date: Sep 30 2021

Summary: After not using Zoiper for 3+ years i decided to try it again. I am now running it on an LG V40 (Android 10) and overall it registers to the PBX but that is about the extent of it.

Here we are 3+ years later, I have a darn near state of the art phone and Android 10 and while Zoiper kinda works with bluetooth it is still seriously SCREWED UP!! And now it has even more problems than it used to have!!

All I can say - unbelievable that they haven't been able to figure out who to produce a decent phone app by now?!?!

Positive: It registers to the PBX and I can assign different ringtones to each registration. That's about it. Sadly, this app is a prefect example of inexperienced amateurs or a company that simply couldn't care less about what they put out.

Negative: 1. Zoiper will not ring priority callers when the phone is in Do Not Disturb mode. This is an expected behavior - one which every native dialer properly does.

    2. Huge waste of screen real-estate that could be used to provide easily touchable function buttons instead of the tiny ones at the top of the screen.

    3. No floating icon for active calls!! Seriously!! Do you know how next to impossible it is to get back to a call once I've moved on to the home screen or worse - the phone decides to sleep?? While I'm driving!! It is utterly RIDICULOUS that you don't have a floating icon on the screen in order to get back to an active call like every other modern, well thought out communications app does???

    4. The tiny hold button on the top of the screen changes to an add call button after it is pressed!! WTF?!?! If I want to put a call on hold and then take it back off hold WITHOUT LOOKING AT THE SCREEN I can't!!! Do you people actually use your app?!? Have you ever tried to deal with it when DRIVING?!?! Damn - this is amateur hour!! You have this HUGE EXPANSE OF UNUSED SCREEN during a call and you place little tiny buttons at the top THAT MOVE AROUND?!?!? You really are masochists!!

    4. During a call, my cell phone rings - the native dialer now takes up the screen. When I answer the cell phone - my Zoiper call should have been put on hold - AUTOMATICALLY!!! But NO that didn't happen! Instead the damn thing hid itself making it IMPOSSIBLE for me to put my Zoiper call on hold, while driving in order that the other person didn't hear my private cellphone call!! Yes, they did hear my side of the cellphone call which I would REALLY preferred that they hadn't!!! Once the cell phone call was over, Zoiper decided to transition from my bluetooth system to the handset earpiece!! ARGH!! Are you kidding me?!?! Now, while driving I had to figure out how to get back to my Zoiper call without killing myself or someone else. I finally figured it out and what do I see? Zoiper thinks it is still on bluetooth! So - I selected speaker mode and then back to bluetooth and my still active call with a very patient person listening to me cussing the heck out of your software waited until I could hear them - but wait - there's more - when Zoiper transitioned back to my bluetooth system it cut the volume in half so I could barely hear the caller.

Now, I need to adjust the volume now on my bluetooth system. Finally after jacking the bluetooth volume almost to the max I could hear my caller again!!

    5. During a Zoiper call I have to jack the volume on my bluetooth system almost to the max - double what is needed for a native cell phone call. If I happen to touch the volume key on the phone (up or down) Zoiper cuts the volume in HALF instantly and I again have to jack the volume on the bluetooth system practically to the maximum.

    6. If my phone is playing music to the in car bluetooth system and Zoiper rings - the music gets paused as it should - something that actually works. But of course - not properly. If I transition the Zoiper call from Bluetooth to earpiece or speaker and then back to bluetooth - the music keeps playing in the background and I have to find and pause it manually.

    7. Think I'm done?? Nope - today I also discovered that Zoiper cannot deal with a VPN connection on the phone!! DAMN!!
If I activate a VPN connection to my office I cannot make or receive any Zoiper calls. Well actually it seems I can place calls - just that nobody can hear me and I cannot hear them so obviously you're getting the media path all wrong!!
