Following the discontinuation of Monitis after its acquisition by TeamViewer last year, we found ourselves in urgent need of an alternative solution. We explored various options, including Uptrends, Datadog, dotcom-monitor, CloudRadar, Pingdom, and Uptime, ultimately crafting our own solution with specific criteria in mind: a cloud-based SaaS platform, a compact and efficient agent, a quick setup interface, flexible pricing, effective maintenance windows, city-level geotargeting, embeddable graphs, real-time push notifications for alerts, comprehensive process monitors with rollup capabilities, and audible alerts on our dashboard.
