VaxALPR Description
The highly advanced Vaxtor engine, originally developed for PC platforms, is now available embedded into both Axis cameras and Mobotix camera systems. This engine provides real-time recognition and meta-data of license plates. Embedded license-plate recognition systems reduce network bandwidth and hardware costs while increasing reliability and resilience. A traffic system that is edge-based, developed to be used on real-world networks, and removes single points of failure will ensure the highest level performance while reducing the total cost of ownership. VaxALPR has black/white lists inside the camera to ensure that access control and alerts can function at all time. Meta-data such as direction of travel, country and plate type, GPS position and confidence, GPS location, time and date, etc. can be used to power edge-based traffic system.
