We were frustrated by the current state of video editing and started Type Studio to fix it!

It is counterintuitive in comparison to the modern conventions of UI design. It is difficult to remember all the buttons, dials and knobs and settings.

You don't need all the features of most editing software to do content-focused video editing. The barrier to entry is high -- you must have a machine that can run these programs and be able to understand how the functions work.
