Tech Trader Description
Tech Trader is an autonomous trading system that has been running for more than 8 years without any human intervention. It is different from other algorithmic systems because it is fully automated and takes a human-like approach to markets. It is not quant. It is not stat-arb. It does not occur very often. It is a program that views stocks in the same way as a person but with the cold discipline of a machine and infinite attention span. It's like having thousands of independent traders focusing on one stock, rather than a single quant manager trying make sense out of a thousand datapoints. Tech Trader is not able to think through complex math models, correlations, stats, or statistical analysis when trading. Tech Trader doesn't need to think through a thousand variables in order to cross the street. A quant might do the same thing, but Tech Trader simply looks down the street to see if there is a car.
